I already knew that Buoy Beer Company employee events never fail to be an absolute blast, but Tuesday took it to a whole new level. This super popular brewpub located on the Columbia River in Astoria has been a hit from day one. I mean, who top awesome beer, great food, and amazing staff?! Oh wait, the Buoy can! Started by some clearly rad brothers with a stellar vision it boasts views of the huge industrial boats that come and go all day guided by tug boats, it also has a literal window in the floor where one can spy sea lions at most any time! Literally, it has a window into sea lion caves. Now….who can beat that!!?
Okay, so back to Tuesday evening. The Buoy closed their doors for a day to celebrate the company and wonderful staff. It really is like a large family (really large, I can’t believe how big they have gotten!). So The Buoy decided to host their first ever employee game night. Obviously they not only had an open beer bar but an array of delicious food and appetizers including speciality deviled eggs, a personal favorite. An awesome local band rocked it and the dance floor was packed! Board games, Jenga, cards, sand bags, you name it and they had it. Yesssssss……even twister! Umm, that got more and more interesting as the night went on. Happy to be within view but out of reach of the classic game, The Cat’s Meow Photobooth was again a HUGE hit!
It was another night of people piling in the photo booth and like always, the more the merrier! At least half of the shots were photo bombed by someone wearing a Vikings hat or a random shark. From father/daughter shots to huge toasts, the photo booth captured it all!
